- Buying and negotiating for the lowest cost and best quality food and dessert items available.
- Prepare inventory control reports, update, and track inventory database. Inspect and dispose of expired inventory.
- Forecast future inventory requirements and manage inventory.
- Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures.
- Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers.
- Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory.
- Identify and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Must be able to stay abreast of Turkish/middle eastern food industry and customer preferences and demands and update inventory as needed.
- Interview and select potential vendors who can provide quality Turkish/middle eastern dessert and food items.
- Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships.
- Review shipping process and work to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
- Place orders to replenish stock while avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus.
- Report to upper management on stock levels, issues etc.

Requires 2 years of relevant experience working with Turkish/Mediterranean food items and desserts, knowledge in importing perishable food items, and dealing with importing issues.
